CHICAGO, Il. - (July 10, 2012) - Today USAgain, the company that helps divert millions of pounds of clothing and textiles from landfills each year, announces the expansion of its operations in Michigan. USAgain provides residents with an eco-friendly way to discard unwanted clothing and shoes in their conveniently located drop boxes.
Over the past few weeks, USAgain has installed new drop boxes in partnership with four local businesses-Laing's Radio & TV, Bacchus Wine & Spirits, Bronco Mart, and Quick Stop on Stadium Drive-in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
"According to the EPA, Americans generate approximately 13 million tons of textile waste each year and about 85 percent, 11 million tons of that goes directly into landfills," said Mattias Wallander, CEO of USAgain. "Our expansion in these communities will help residents keep clothing and textiles out of landfills - providing them with a convenient and eco-friendly way of disposing of unwanted clothes."
