Will County’s Resource Recovery and Energy Division will receive an award for recycling during a Nov. 12 ceremony in St. Charles, according to a press release.
The division was named a winner in textile recycling company USAgain’s inaugural Green T awards for Outstanding Recycling Event, the release said.
The division, part of the county’s Land Use Department, is among 15 honorees in 12 categories at the ceremony next month, the release said.
Will County partnered with USAgain in May at the county office building in Joliet, the Green Apple Day event in Bolingbrook and Sharefest in New Lenox, Will County Recycling Specialist Marta Keane said in the release. It was the May event that won the award, according to the release.
