MOUNT VERNON, NY – August 9, 2011 – The City of Mount Vernon, The Department of Recreation and USAgain Corporation (www.usagain.com) will start a new recycling partnership for the City of Mount Vernon.  This partnership with USAgain Corp. is a commercial enterprise that promotes recycling and the responsible reuse of clothes, shoes and textiles.  This company is dedicated to helping the environment by conserving natural resources and greenhouse gases, and by also serving local communities through job creation and corporate giving. The August 9th ribbon cutting at 12:30pm will officially celebrate this partnership at the USAgain drop box in Brush Park.

Local residents can find USAgain bins at Doles Community Center (250 South 6th Ave.), Brush Park (between 3rd Ave. and 6th St.), and Hutchinson Field (659 Garden Ave.). These collection bins will be serviced on a weekly basis or more often if required.
