ST. LOUIS (October 10, 2017) – The St. Louis division of clothing recycler USAgain is collecting winter coats to support the Warners’ Warm-up Coat Drive in partnership with the Kurt Warner First Things First Foundation and Operation Food Search.
From now until November 14, USAgain will collect new and gently used winter coats of all shapes and sizes to support the campaign. USAgain makes donation easy for the communities by accepting coats in 400 recycling bins around the city. The bin locations are listed on the website www.usagain.com and can be looked up by city name or zip code. At the end of the drive, USAgain will deliver the coats to the St. Louis-based offices of Operation Food Search, which will distribute the coats to homeless shelters, schools, and other social service agencies throughout the St. Louis and Metro East region in time for the cold winter months.
“We are so grateful for the continued partnership with USAgain to ensure coat donations are as convenient as possible for St. Louis area residents. USAgain’s support has played a significant part in the success of our annual drive,” said Jennifer Zink, Executive Director of the Kurt Warner First Things First Foundation.
This is the fifth year USAgain has partnered with the foundation. In addition to the drive, USAgain collects surplus clothing and shoes to give them a new life.
“We’re tremendously excited to partner with such a great organization,” said Mattias Wallander, CEO of USAgain. “The Foundation will ensure that these coats will help people who need them, and we’ll be continuing our mission of diverting clothing from landfills.”
Around St. Louis, USAgain has partnered with charity organizations including Habitat for Humanity, the Dignity House, Boys and Girls Club, and the St. Patrick Center. USAgain looks forward to future community outreach events in St. Louis.
