Tree Planting at Midway Elementary in Moro, IL

On Tuesday April 30th, members of the USAgain staff and students of Midway Elementary in Moro, IL planted three Norway Spruce trees in an open field behind the school’s garden. Each student took a turn with a small shovel, leaning down to gently place the soil around the tree's base.

As they worked, their teachers continued to educate the students regarding soil selection and care needed to allow for the trees to reach their approximate height of 50 feet. The students of Midway Elementary are familiar with the impact of recycling and protecting our natural resources, and often set aside time for their participation in gardening and other activities on their school’s property.
