Coats to be donated to Kurt Warner First Things First Foundation

USAgain, a local textile recycling company, will donate clothes to St. Louis charity

ST. LOUIS (November 4, 2013) - USAgain, the textile recycling company with a division office in St. Louis, is donating winter coats this November to the Warners’ Warm-up Coat Drive in partnership with the Kurt Warner First Things First Foundation and Operation Food Search.

USAgain has been collecting gently used coats at its office in St. Louis and at the 400-plus clothes and shoes recycling bins the company operates around the city. USAgain collected coats most of the year to be given to the Foundation.

“We’re tremendously excited to partner with such a great organization,” said Tom Jacquin, Division Manager of USAgain. “The Foundation will ensure that these coats are given to people in the St. Louis Metropolitan Area who need them, and we’ll be continuing our mission of diverting clothing from landfills.”

Warners’ Warm-up is a two-week coat drive from November 1-14th encouraging Metro St. Louisans to donate clothes which will be distributed by Operation Food Search to homeless shelters, schools, and other social service agencies throughout the Bi-state region in time for the bitter cold winter months.

“Each year the demand for coats in the St. Louis area exceeds the supply collected through our annual coat drive. As the Warners’ Warm-up Coat Drive enters its thirteenth year, we are excited to receive support from USAgain to assist us in collecting more coats than ever before and keeping more bodies warm this winter,” said Jen Zink, Director of Programs for the Kurt Warner First Things First Foundation.

Around St. Louis, USAgain has partnered with charity organizations including Habitat for Humanity, the Dignity House, Boys and Girls Club, and the St. Patrick Center. USAgain looks forward to future community outreach events in St. Louis.
